Review: Blackout

Blackout
Blackout by Mira Grant

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Egads. This series just does not let go once it’s gotten you by the collar, does it? I don’t like to use the term “page-turner” lightly, but Blackout was absolutely one. Right from the beginning, when there’s a whole new twist to the story, Grant has you right back in the passenger seat as Shaun and the crew attempt to finally crack open the biggest, most well-guarded secret of their entire lives. Remarkably there are fewer zombies in this book than there were in the others, although there is plenty of conspiracy, mind-bending mad science, insanity and gun fights.

Oh, and there’s a zombie bear. Of COURSE there’s a zombie bear. Why wouldn’t there be?

Definitely read Blackout. You know what, go read the full trilogy. I plan to again, sometime in the not-too-distant future.
