Jailbird by Kurt Vonnegut
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I really liked the way the story came around. It had a twist I’m not used to seeing in Vonnegut stories, and the whole thing ends up piecing together quite cleanly thanks to that. On the other hand, it’s not written in Vonnegut’s style as much, and therefore doesn’t quite feel like one of his books (not to mention the way the tone of the story is so much different from what he normally seems to write).
Still, all in all, it’s a good book. Just…not quite to the level of most of his others.
